The most important thing to me in my career as a Massage Therapist is helping people on their journey from physical stress, injury or chronic pain. I am fortunate that my greatest joy in life is healing using my hands with a combination of re-molding muscle and tissue, pulling, compressing and revisiting tight areas as I progress through the body, both as a whole and in its myriad of details. I work slowly and intentionally with gentle and increasingly firm pressure to help open up the body and increase blood flow into tight muscles and tissue, allowing it to feel revived, refreshed and more agile once the client returns to the everyday world.
This world is full of lots of things that grab my heart but if I had to narrow it down I enjoy the natural world with its wonderful bounty of plants and trees and animals. I love visiting forests and amazing gardens wherever I travel with my family and friends. I enjoy spending time with my pets because their simple and love-filled perspective of life is so grounding.
As a Certified Massage Therapist, I understand that no two bodies are alike. Whether you are an athlete, busy professional, or recovering from an injury, I will meet your needs through my deep understanding of the body's anatomy and physiology, as well as my training and experience with Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and relaxation techniques.
I am a passionate Massage Therapist with a love for healing through touch. When I am not working, I enjoy weightlifting and exploring new sources of information so I can better serve my clients. Whether it's a lingering injury or the stresses of everyday life, I am committed to helping you reach optimal health and wellness through the power of massage.
I am a Certified Massage Therapist with a Health Educator certificate from National Holistic Institute in Studio City. I love animals, music, cooking for friends & family, free writing, rollerblading, and being a beach bum by choice in my free time. I value family consciousness and live by the words: "To care for others, we must first care for ourselves."
I have been receiving massages as part of my regular self-care routine for as long as I can remember. From having highly stressful jobs to having a rich life full of priceless experiences and trials and errors. Massage therapy is my go-to, especially in the face of change. It's an outlet to realign with my natural self. I could release any mental exhaustion, be present energetically, and allow for physical realignment caused by everyday mom-work-and-life imbalances.
As a single parent, I love putting my energy into what truly matters to me, so a career to care for others as I care for myself and my family made a lot of sense. We provide many services, some that we are naturally gifted with and others we learn along the way. Massage therapy has helped me discover the value of recovery through touch therapy and has taught me to hold space for myself and those looking to restore their muscular body, mind & spirit.
All my friends call me Yo! I’ve been the office manager here at Sierra Madre Massage Company since 2019. My prior position I had the pleasure of working as a Program Director for a preschool in Altadena for 26 years. My time at the preschool was wonderful, but I was ready to focus on holistic healing.
When I’m not at the clinic or with my family, I teach kundalini yoga at The Awareness Center. Kundalini is a form of yoga that involves breathing techniques, chanting, singing, and repetitive postural exercises. It’s a great workout, inside and out!
Before I found kundalini, I was certified as an Energy Balancing Practitioner. This practice had changed my life and helped me realize the benefits of holistic healing.
I understand there are a lot of healing modalities, and I know massage is one of the top tools to help physical and mental healing. I’m so glad I found this great clinic and I’m looking forward to working with you!
